“We are thankful for the partnership with Jerry (McCormick) and the Moving Beyond Active Shooter Training (MBAS). This training provides our staff with a simple framework they can apply to any dangerous situation that arises (whether they are at work, home, or in the community). It’s increased their ability to stay safer and decreased the risk of being scared or a victim during a dangerous incident. MBAS training has built confidence in our staff through shared knowledge and skills to better protect themselves, our members, and participants from day-to-day threats and dangerous situations. The drills helped the Y staff anticipate how they might react to a threat in their work area, gaining a practical understanding of their work environment. Overall, the training is a comprehensive package preparing our staff to respond confidently.”
